The man charged with attacking the mother of his children with a cutlass on Monday will spend the New Year in jail.
Jeffrey Brathwaite, 58, was remanded to prison today when he appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court charged with doing serious bodily harm to Cherry Ann Lashley.

He was denied bail after the court heard that he was already on bail from another court when he allegedly committed this latest offence.
The Fairfield Road, Carrington Village, St Michael resident will reappear in court on January 28, 2015.
It is alleged that Brathwaite and Lashley got into an altercation around 5 pm on Monday at the house they shared.
Two fingers on Lashley’s left hand were severed and the hand was also broken. She sustained numerous chop wounds about the body and had to undergo surgery yesterday.
