The grounds of the Barbados Museum came alive yesterday as residents and visitors browsed 35 stalls for craft and other things Barbadian.
“We are basically celebrating the best in Barbadian craft and culture,” Barbados Museum and Historical Society’s Marketing Officer, Janelle
Edwards, explained.
She said while the Museum hosts a Fine Craft Exhibition on its grounds annually in December, a decision was taken to add a show as a prelude to Crop Over.
“We partnered with the NCF and the BIDC to do something during the Crop Over season…This event is something that we hope will happen every year in partnership with NFC and the BIDC.”
“It’s wide variety of artisans that we have. There was basketry, visual arts, leather craft, wood works, ceramics, paintings as well as the literary corner,” Edwards said.
