Promoters of the Hennessy Artistry Show are promising to give Barbadians the most attractive show yet, including some new features and a headline act that has been in demand for a number of years.

“We are very excited. We are celebrating 250 years with Hennessy. We promise to deliver one of the best, one of the most exciting Hennessy events that you will experience to date. A lot of you know that we have been trying for years to get our headliner Keyshia Cole on the shores of Barbados.  We are very excited about her coming and I spoke to her last week and she is so excited about visiting the island; that she is coming in early and staying late,” Allison Hunte, one of the directors of FAS7Star said at the launch on Thursday night at Kensington Oval.

The event will also feature a “reggae cast” of Anthony B, Jah Cure and Popcaan.

And for the first time, Artistry will feature soca along with R&B and Reggae, making it the perfect blend, according to Freddie Hill, another director in FAS Entertainment.

“Hennessy Artistry would not be complete without us truly delivering on the art of blending by incorporating our own superstars with a soca medley. This will feature King Bubba, Leadpipe and Saddis, Don Trent, Damien Marvay. Cy’an Kirk Brown and the Energy Band,” Hill said.

Along with the entertainment, the show will feature a Hennessy Privilege Lounge designed for women but able to accommodate men. It will feature cuisine from international chef Michael Hinds, together with other chefs from across the region.

“They are going to offer us an eclectic fuse of Indian, Chinese, Creole, and Caribbean Italian. The lounge is specially designed lounge for the ladies because we have had so many requests for it. The males can join in too but it’s especially for the ladies,” Hunte said.

FLOW is the newest sponsor on board this year taking over from Digicel, and Head of Marketing at FLOW Shelly Ann Lee Chung revealed at the launch that they would be on board for the next three years.

“We are honoured as part of a new brand to partner with a young fun creative dynamic premium brand like Hennessy and we look forward to a great partnership,” she added.

The show comes off on December 5th at Kensington Oval.
