Codrington College’s all-day fair yesterday stretched into the evening, providing delights and entertainment for visitors to the St John grounds.
Held under the patronage of Archbishop of the Province of the West Indies, Reverend Dr John Holder, the event featured a variety of cultural experiences, showcasing talents of established artistes and young aspiring performers.
Music and performances came from groups such as the Trinity Steel Band, the Barbados Defence Force Band, and Vengeance Falls Band, along with Gospel Praise Dancers, the St Thomas Community Dance Group, and Sanctuary Empowerment Dancers.
According to organisers, this annual Festival in the College’s 270th year was designed to feature, “the Caribbeaness of the College, since it caters to candidates for ordination in the Anglican Church in the Province of the West Indies and students in Theology at the University of the West Indies.” (GA)
