Barbadians will once again have the opportunity to be spiritually thrilled when the Berean Bible Church continues with its fund-raising effort towards building a new home at Hothersal Turning. It will be hosting a concert on Saturday, October 5th at the St. Leonard’s Boys’ Auditorium beginning at 6 p.m.
The Concert, entitled An Evening of Joyful Music will feature the world-renowned Royal Barbados Police Force Band, the St. Leonard’s Boys’ Choir, Berean Bible Church Choir and Friends, the Rock Christian School Choir, a Violin solo by Shawn Holder, Saxophone solo by Inspector Cortez Callender, a duet by Norma Bowen and Robert Best, soloist Kareem Agard among others.
This event will allow lovers of Classical and Religious music to see some of their favourite performers, while supporting the church’s drive to raise funds to construct a new facility. This concert is one of the ways to raise funds to build a bigger, multi-purpose facility as the current location at Passage Road has become inadequate, as the church continues to provide various functions for its members and community.
The land at Hothersal where the church is to be built is four acres and the plan is to construct a Sanctuary for main worship services, church offices and teaching facilities, Day Care Nursery, a Multipurpose hall, recreational facilities for the youth, a Senior Citizens Home and a pastor’s manse. Contributions received from this event will assist in pushing the project further along.
Contributions to the fund are welcome and can be sent by cheque to ‘The Berean Bible Church Fund’, P.O. Box 105, Corner Passage Road, St. Michael. Tickets will be sold at various locations around the country. Emerald City, Saturday, 14th & 21st September; JB’s Supermarket on Wednesday, 18th, Sheraton Mall on the 21st and Big B on 25th.
