Scores of concerned Barbadians took part in a march through The City on Saturday protesting Wednesday’s simulation exercise at the Springer Memorial Secondary School that went horribly wrong.

Members of the Unity Workers’ Union, Barbados Concerned Citizens Group, the Steering Committee, the Watch Out My Children group and other interested individuals gathered near Kensington Oval, around 10 am.

Escorted by lawmen, the marchers moved through Bridgetown, with placards in hand, calling for the resignation of the Minister of Education Kay McConney.

They reached Independence Square after 12 pm and along the journey they stopped at various locations to allow representatives from different groups, such as Winston Clarke and Caswell Franklyn, to engage onlookers.

About 100 people took part in the march.
