Veteran officer with The Barbados Police Service Constable Ralph Rollock is a very proud father.

Among the 55 police recruits who graduated from the Regional Police Training Centre on Wednesday, were his children, 25-year-old Juston Hewitt and 21-year-old Abigail Rollock.

The brother and sister were part of the 147th Passing Out Parade and Graduation Ceremony.

“I am a very proud dad. My wife, Fay, and I are proud and satisfied that they have made the decision to join the force,” PC400 Rollock, who has been an officer for the past 39 years, said.

PC2369 Hewitt served as a soldier for six years, while PC2397 Rollock is a former staff sergeant at the Cadet Corps. Their mother is also an ex-soldier.

Constable Rollock had no problem with his children joining him on the force.

“It will serve them well, even if they do not decide to stay as long as I did,” he said, adding that the duo were excited about being “brother and sister on the force”. (FW)
