Tourism consultant and opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) candidate for St Peter, Colin Jordan, is recovering at the Sparman Clinic after undergoing a medical procedure.

Jordan, who is Vice President (Finance) of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA), was admitted at the Belleville, St Michael facility yesterday after reportedly falling ill.
Ahead of delivering her report at the annual general meeting of the BHTA today, Chief Executive Officer Sue Springer apologized for Jordan’s absence. She wished him a speedy recovery on behalf of the BHTA members and the hotel fraternity.
“He has been VP of Finance and involved in this association for some 15 years,” Springer said.
“I want you all to pray for Colin Jordan. He is very sick at the moment and we are hoping that he will improve very, very soon.”
“Unfortunately, he took ill yesterday. He is in Sparman Clinic and he will be there for the next few days under observation. So keep him in your thoughts and prayers. We really miss him . . . . He sent me a message this morning saying how sorry he was that he was not here”.
Only last Sunday night, Jordan delivered a speech at a branch meeting of the BLP St Peter constituency in which he knocked the Government on its education policy.
