Police are investigating a shooting incident which took place in a Christ Church area in the wee hours of this morning.
According to police spokesman, Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch, four people – three men and one woman – were shot and injured in Bourne’s Land, Silver Sands while attending a street event between the hours of 2:30 a.m and 3:00 a.m.
A fifth person – a woman – was also injured in the stampede that followed. She suffered bruises about her body.
The five were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle, but none of the injuries are said to be life threatening.
