Former and current colleagues, family and friends turned up last night at Almond Caterers, Hastings, Christ Church to wish outgoing Postmaster General, Jewel Brathwaite, a fond farewell.
Brathwaite, who retires on May 1, served at the helm of Barbados postal service for 15 years.
Well-wishers described his coming retirement as ‘the end of an era’.
