There have been two court appearances, but still no date set for hearing Leroy Parris’ latest case.
The former CLICO chairman turned up at court this morning with his attorney Hal Gollop, QC, but they left still not knowing when the court would give them the oppportunity to have a hearing on a constitutional motion calling for Parris’ assets to be unfrozen.

This motion stems from what Gollop said is a violation of his client’s right to a fair hearing within a reasonable time. The constitutional motion is also seeking an unspecified amount of damages.
The court order freezing Parris’ assets was made on January 27 after an application from the judicial manager Deloitte Consulting.
Gollop told Barbados TODAY he was astounded at information reaching him today that the judicial manager had made an application asking the court to affirm the interim order even before the defendant could get a hearing for his injunction.
