
Pension Reform, its fiscal, social, and economic implications, are expected to attract keen interest when the Senior Advisory Group for Excellence in Trade Unionism (SAGE) hosts a panel discussion on the topic tomorrow, Wednesday, April 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Horatio Cooke Auditorium, National Union of Public Workers, Dalkeith, St Michael.
Panelists will be the Hon. Ryan Straughn M.P., Minister in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs; Walter Blackman, Actuary; Dennis Clarke, a former General Secretary of the National Union of Public Worker; Frederick Forde, former Permanent Secretary; Doreen Payne, Former Acting Senior Personnel Officer, Leave & Pensions Section of the Personnel Administration Division. Moderator – Professor C. Justin Robinson, Pro Vice-Chancellor & Chair, Board for Undergraduate Studies, The University of the West Indies.

SAGE is a grouping of former union leaders, senior public servants, and other members within the NUPW, who have come together as part of an educational forum to engage members, share experiences and transfer knowledge in labour management-related issues acquired throughout the journey in the public sector, the labour movement and beyond, for the benefit of the NUPW and labour as a whole.
