Former Barbados Football Association (BFA) junior vice president Ashton Chapman suffered his second consecutive defeat when the BFA held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Chapman who had lost to Omari Eastmond at the last AGM in 2020 suffered again but this time at the hands of newcomer and director of Pro-Shottas Club Gregory Castagne losing 35 to 41.

It appears from all accounts that football justice has been served as the BFA club members were clear that they wanted to change, as seven newcomers were voted in and only one, was returned.

Tricia Browne is the new treasurer with 48 votes while Harley Moseley III  is the junior assistant secretary with 41 as they both defeated their rivals comfortably as first-timers.

Browne, a social worker by profession, won 41 to 23 against Rodinald King while Moseley, a physician, defeated Kenroy Weekes 41 to 32 votes.

The positions of junior vice-president, treasurer, and junior assistant secretary all became vacant in 2021 following the resignations of Omari Eastmond, Christian Renwick, and Simeon Alsopp.

From a list of 13 individuals, five were elected as floor members and they are Nicole McKenzie who returned along with Derrick Cummins, Shamika Estwick, Tahir Batson, and Augustin Jacob. (ML)
