DLP constituency representatives at today’s meeting.
The ruling Democratic Labour Party (DLP) today announced eight months of activities in celebration of its 60th anniversary.
General secretary George Pilgrim told a media conference that the celebrations will begin in April and end in November.
The announcement was timed to coincide with the DLP’s observance of the second year of it’s second consecutive term in office.

we are . . . announcing plans for our anniversary celebrations,” noted Pilgrim at Almond Caterers in Christ Church, where representatives of the party’s 30 constituency branches were meeting to plan the celebrations.
One of the highlight of the celebrations themed Celebrate 60 – It’s all about members, will be President Freundel Stuart’s presentation of 60 awards to longstanding party members.
“It’s important to celebrate and acknowledge how we got here . . . through the support of our loyal members,” Pilgrim added.
