At 11:00 AM the center of Hurricane Elsa was located near latitude 13.4N longitude 61.2W or about 109 MI (175KM) west of Barbados.
Maximum sustained winds are near…75 MPH…120 KM/H with higher gusts.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km) from the center.
Elsa is currently moving towards the west-northwest (290 degrees) at 29 MPH (44 KM/H). This motion is expected to continue during the next few days.
Rainfall accumulations of 6 to 8 inches are forecast across Barbados on Friday. A flash-flood warning remains in effect for Barbados.
