Hours after hearing about the stolen hampers from the Dayrells Road Gospel Hall Assembly, management and staff from Columbus Telecommunications Barbados Limited, operators of FLOW and CBS, donned their Christmas hats and set out to replace the 20 hampers, which were reported stolen.
The goodwill was part of the company’s way of paying it forward while spreading Christmas cheer yesterday.
Managing Director Niall Sheehy along with his team, also spent the afternoon delivering gifts to the boys and girls of the St James South, who attended the annual Children’s Party and “Caroling on the Green” hosted under the patronage of Minister Donville Inniss.
“We are committed to helping the people with whom we live and work with and assuring that they reach their potential. When I read the story in the paper I said, ‘We can do this’ because it is the forefront of Columbus’ mission to support community building projects, and that is why we jumped on helping the church out without hesitation,” Sheehy said.
