Digicel today issued an apology to its customers and the general public, but its remorse had nothing to do with its telecommunications services.
The company took to its social media channels to say sorry after pornographic videos and pictures were broadcast on a screen in one of its outlets last night, after hours.
The faux pas, captured on video by people who were passing the closed outlet, has been circulating via messaging services.
In a post on its Facebook page late last night, Digicel stated: “We would like to apologize for the content of the videos and photographs captured today after hours at one of our stores. This matter has been addressed and further investigations are being conducted. Once again, we deeply regret this unfortunate occurrence and sincerely apologize for any offence caused.”
A shorter note was posted to Digicel Barbados’ Twitter account.
“We apologize for the content of the videos and photographs displayed on-screen today at one of our stores. The matter is being investigated,” it said.
