More than 500 volunteers today scoured beaches and other areas around the island, picking up garbage as part of a major clean up drive.
It was the sixth annual staging of Clean Up Barbados – an initiative that provided groups and individuals with the chance to get out and get involved with cleaning areas that need attention.
The annual activity was organized by the Future Centre Trust, an environmental non-governmental organization.
In all, just over two dozen areas were targeted.
