Barbadians to pay less for gas and LPG, diesel and kerosene prices rise

Consumers will be paying less for gasoline and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), while the prices for diesel and kerosene will increase effective midnight Sunday.

Gasoline will now be sold at $3.89 per litre, down from $3.91; a decrease of $0.02.

Diesel will now retail at $3.20 per litre, up from $3.14; an increase of $0.06, while kerosene will be sold at $1.50 per litre, up from $1.47; this is an increase of $0.03.

Meanwhile, the 100lb cylinder of LPG will now retail at $142.31, a decrease of $0.97.

The price of the 25 lb cylinder will move from $40.92 to $40.68, a reduction of $0.24.

The price of the 22lb cylinder decreased by $0.22, from $36.18 to $35.96, while the price of the 20 lb cylinder has been adjusted from $32.89 to $32.69, a reduction of $0.20.

These price adjustments are in keeping with Government’s policy of allowing retail prices to be reflective of those on the international market. (BGIS)
