Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire which reportedly started about 4 a.m. on Sunday at an unoccupied building at Rowens Road, Belle Gully, St Michael, owned by Anthony Aldophus Browne, 57.
The building, though unoccupied, is insured.
An adjacent house, owned and occupied by Browne was also damaged; so too was another house owned by Ometta Browne, 58.
Adolphus Browne, who was reportedly asleep, woke up to a loud noise. He then discovered that his unoccupied property next door was on fire.
Two fire tenders with eight personnel responded and extinguished the blaze.
