
The police constable who was involved in the May 26 accident that claimed the life of 52-year-old Owen Stuart on the ABC Highway has been released on $5,000 bail.
Renaldo Jerome Goodman, of Glebe Land, St George, appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant today charged with seven offences under the Road Traffic Act.
He is charged with causing Stuart’s death while driving a motorcycle in a manner dangerous to the public.
Goodman is also accused of using the motorcycle after 8 p.m. which was prohibited on his learner’s permit.

He is further charged with using fraudulent number plates, driving without road tax and insurance, and when the letter ‘L’ was not properly displayed on the front or rear of the cycle.
The accused cop was not required to enter a plea after the charges were read to him.
However, Goodman, who is represented by attorney-at-law Francis Worrell, will next appear before the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on June 25 when the charges will again be read to him.
