Twenty-seven-year-old Rohan Mayers of Sayers Court, Christ Church is counting his blessings after he escaped serious injury in a two-car accident, which occurred along Mangrove Road, St Philip, at its junction with Mangrove Park, around 7:45 a.m. Friday.
The other car was driven by 52-year-old Roseclair Blades of St Martins, St Philip.
Mayers suffered bruises to his right foot and hip and a laceration over his eye after his car overturned but told Barbados TODAY he was just glad to be alive.
“I am alive and I am walking, so God is good. Scrapes and bruises could heal, once you got life, you are good,” he said.
Blades, who was visibly shaken, did not speak to the media. However, she complained of pains to her chest and abdomen and was taken to the state-run Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical attention.
Two fire tenders and seven fire officers responded to the accident which remains under police investigation.
